At the time when rural economy in the southern most part of the West Bengal was largely dominated by the land lords and local Money Lenders; the small and marginal farmers were oppressed with heavy burden of personal debt, the 1st February of 1924 witnessed the emergence of “The Mugberia Central Cooperative Bank Ltd.” as the rescuer of those destitute farmers. Since then, our Bank has been playing a pivotal role in providing agricultural credit to the farmers at an affordable rate of interest thereby rescuing the farmers from the debt trap of money lenders.
Over the years, our Bank has experienced several ups & downs; reforms & changes in Banking sector. Every time we have been able to surmount all the obstacles on our way to success with utmost professionalism and selfless dedication of our staff brigade. Progressive outlook of our Management has built up a strong bridge of coordination between the Board of Directors and the employees of the Bank.
Our affiliated Societies are the crown of our Institution. The path of our institution gets enlightened with the advice and guidance of our affiliated Societies i.e. the Shareholders of our Bank.
Customer Relation Management is the key area where we pay our serious attention for expansion of our Banking business. We have already brought attractive deposit products, need based credit facilities, advanced payment technologies and fund transfer mechanism to satisfy requirements of all sections of customers. “Living for others” is our motto. We do not hesitate to swear that we shall leave no stone unturned for providing highest level of customer satisfaction in our Banking journey.
